● Promotes, protects, maintains and attains optimal care for the physical and mental health of the students
● Provides first aid for injuries and acute illness
● Initiates prompt referral to the appropriate medical facility when more extensive treatment is warranted
● Performs crisis intervention if necessary
● Administers medicine as requested by parents or as directed by physicians
● Provide health counseling for students and staffs
● Participate in establishing or revising school health policies
● Maintain a daily medical log and report on incidents and accidents as per school policy
● Establish and maintain individual health records
● Maintains stock of medicines and first aid equipment and regular stock checks
● Inputs and maintains medical records of students and provides reports for student trips and other purposes as required
● Arranges first aid equipment for students and teachers for field trips
● Clean bed, mattress and bed sheets once a week or when necessary.
● Prepare glasses, medical equipment and medical supplies every evening.
● Sterile medical equipments monthly or when necessary
● Coordinate with parents when the student needs to get any first aid medications.
● Coordinate with homeroom teachers and parents when referral is needed.
● Separate the student when contagious disease occurred and coordinate with a health promoting hospital to prevent the spreading of disease.
● Screening for infectious disease e.g. HFMD at kindergarten building every morning.
● Follow up the student via telephone when the student has contagious disease and stays at home or is hospitalized.
● Input medical event data into Renweb every evening.
● Screen medical form about student’s allergies then record in Renweb and remind homeroom teacher about those allergies.
● Coordinate with teachers and the hospital for annual health check-up.
● Coordinate and prepare documents for the accident insurance claim process.
