Overview:
The Supervisor supports the Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of service and efficiency. This role involves guest relations, monitoring team performance, managing schedules, ensuring quality control, maintaining the ambience of the restaurant, collecting guest profile information, and collaborating with the Hostess team.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision
- Assist in training and supervising front-of-house staff.
- Oversee service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Monitor team performance and manage time schedules.
Customer Service
- Handle guest complaints and issues, escalating to the Restaurant Manager when necessary.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Operations Support
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Provide support during busy periods, including taking orders and serving guests.
- Ensure all Mise en Place is done correctly.
Quality Control
- Ensure the quality of food and beverages meets the restaurant's standards.
- Monitor the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly.
Ambience Control
- Maintain the overall ambience of the restaurant, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-lit, and properly set up for service.
Inventory Management
- Assist in inventory counting and management.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of supplies.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Guest Profile Information
- Collect and update guest profile information to personalize guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the Hostess team to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Cashier Duties and Finance
- Perform cashier duties, including processing payments and managing cash registers.
- Assist in daily financial operations and reporting together with the Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager.
