JOB SUMMARY:
- The Network & Telecom Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network and telecommunications infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of data, voice, and MS Team communication systems. The manager will lead a team of network engineers and technicians, work with vendors, and support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network & Telecom Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for network infrastructure, security, and telecommunications systems to support business operations.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure network security, compliance with industry standards, and protection against cyber threats.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor network and telecom staff, providing training and development opportunities.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Work with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets for network and telecom services.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and implement backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT teams and other departments to align network and telecom services with business needs.
Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
Skill Required:
- Proven leadership experience in managing network teams and projects.
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, telecom systems, and security protocols.
- Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in network and telecommunications management.
