- Lean & Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Lead and support lean manufacturing projects to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and other lean methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and A3 Reports.
- Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and ensure adherence across teams.
- Facilitate and lead Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and cross-functional workshops to drive operational improvements.
- Process Optimization & Waste Reduction:
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities (waste) using Lean principles (TIMWOODS: Transport, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing, Defects, and Skills underutilization).
- Optimize workflows, layouts, and production processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth process integration.
- Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze process data to measure improvement impact and identify further opportunities.
- Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), defect rates, and lead time reduction.
- Utilize statistical tools (Six Sigma, SPC, DOE) to enhance process stability and predictability.
- Training & Culture Development:
- Train and coach employees on Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
- Promote a culture of Lean thinking and operational excellence across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership to align Lean initiatives with company goals and objectives.
- Good English language skills both spoken and written.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Process Engineering.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM, SMED, TPM, Poka-Yoke, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and statistical tools (Minitab, Power BI, Excel, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Experience in an automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation in lean manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
