Electrical Design Engineer

• Perform basic design of electrical systems for chemical plants, adhering to customer specifications.
• Coordinate and manage sub-contractors for detailed design of electrical facilities, including Motor Control Centers (MCC), power receiving systems, bus ducts, transformers, cable racks, and ducts.
• Review and verify documents submitted by sub-contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
• Negotiate costs related to fieldwork and ensure alignment with project budgets.
• Conduct pre-commissioning activities on-site to verify electrical soundness and safety of installations.
• Perform functional checks for rotating and unit machinery, including pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, compressors, and other equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical design and field operations.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering or related field)
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in electrical design within plant engineering

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, Motor Control Centers (MCC), transformers, and related electrical equipment
• Hands-on experience with rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, blowers, etc.
• Familiar with electrical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to chemical plants
• Communication Skills: Capable of effective communication with sub-contractors, clients, and cross-functional teams
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve design challenges and troubleshoot electrical systems

Other Requirements:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license (own vehicle not required)
• Willing to travel for on-site work or commissioning activities as needed
• Proficiency in English is essential
