Director of Accounting

Job Overview:

The Director of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. And maintaining compliance with accounting regulations. This role will involve leading a team of accounting professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and control all accounting functions of the company group.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Decompose complex business issues, form an understanding of the context, use practical experience and strong technical accounting skills to direct accounting analysis as required, challenge proposed solutions against accounting guidance and business objectives, and escalate matters to Chief Accountant as appropriate.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other department to gather financial information and provide analysis for decision-making.
• Closely liaise with internal and external Auditors on the resolution of complex accounting matters.
• Develop and maintain accounting systems and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationship with founders, venders, creditors, partners, suppliers, community organizations, government agencies, in conjunction with senior leadership team.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, ensuring their professional development.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance relegated field.
• Minimum 10 years accounting experience with requisite Certificate CPA.
• Experience working in large corporate environment or multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulation, and financial reporting standard.
• Posses strategic thinking, change leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effect. change and continuous improvement across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Knowledge of tax laws, strong team management and communication skills, and ability. to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• The level of English must be at a professional proficiency.
