Position:

Office Location: BTS Saladaeng / MRT Silom (100 m. walk from station)

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of working experience as IT , System Engineer or related position.
• Good English Communication, Reading and Writing.

Job descriptions:

• Data Center Operations: Proactively monitor and maintain the daily operations of the data center infrastructure, encompassing servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
• System Administration: Efficiently manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of operating systems, software applications, and hardware components within the data center environment.
• Network Support: Ensure the seamless operation and high availability of network systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, collaborating with vendors as required.
• Hardware Management: Oversee the physical infrastructure of the data center, including server racks, cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Security Compliance: Implement and uphold stringent data center security protocols, encompassing access control, surveillance systems, and robust data backup procedures.
• Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively track system performance, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and implement optimizations to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Disaster Recovery: Actively contribute to the development and execution of disaster recovery plans, safeguarding business continuity in the face of data center disruptions or failures.
• Documentation: Meticulously maintain comprehensive documentation of data center configurations, operational procedures, and any modifications to ensure consistent operations and adherence to industry best practices.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate effectively with external vendors and service providers to guarantee timely maintenance, upgrades, and comprehensive support for all data center equipment.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide responsive 24/7 on-call support to address and resolve critical incidents that impact data center operations.
• Capacity Planning: Contribute to capacity planning and forecasting initiatives to ensure the data center infrastructure can seamlessly accommodate current and future business requirements.

Operating Systems:

• Windows Server: Administration, configuration, troubleshooting, updates, and security.
• Linux: Proficiency in various distributions like CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat, including command-line interface, system administration, and troubleshooting.

Networking:

• TCP/IP: Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking fundamentals.
• Routing and Switching: Configuration and management of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Network troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.

Hardware:

• Server Hardware: Knowledge of server components, RAID configurations, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Storage Systems: Familiarity with various storage technologies like SAN, NAS, and DAS.
• Data Center Infrastructure: Understanding of power distribution, cooling systems, and environmental monitoring.

Security:

• Access Control: Implementation and management of access control systems and user permissions.
• Firewalls and Security Appliances: Configuration and maintenance of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
• Data Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of backup strategies, software, and recovery procedures.

Monitoring and Management:

• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to track system performance and identify potential issues.
• Remote Management: Proficiency in remote access and management tools for troubleshooting and maintenance.

Other:

• Scripting: Basic scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation and task management.
• Virtualization: Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (optional, but increasingly valuable).

Certifications is advantaged:

• CompTIA A+: Demonstrates foundational IT skills and knowledge.
• CompTIA Network+: Validates networking knowledge and skills.
• CompTIA Server+: Focuses on server administration and management.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or other relevant certifications.
• Cisco Certified: CCNA or other certifications related to networking.
