Legal Manager

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join our in-house legal team. This role will primarily focus on contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and updating contracts related to real estate development, with an additional emphasis on coordinating with third-party legal teams for litigation. You will support the legal team in dealing with 3rd party disputes and other contractual matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with substantial experience in real estate law, particularly in contract review and drafting, who is looking to make a meaningful impact in an in-house legal department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Review & Drafting: Review, draft, and update contracts related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, construction contracts, sale agreements, and other related documents.
• Dispute Management: Support the coordination with external legal teams on litigation matters, particularly those arising from contractor disputes or other third-party issues, ensuring timely and effective legal actions are taken.
• Third-Party Legal Coordination: Work closely with external counsel, particularly for complex litigation and contractor-related disputes, ensuring that all legal strategies align with the company’s objectives.
• Legal Support on Permits & Licenses: Assist with obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals related to real estate development and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal support to senior management and internal teams on a variety of real estate-related matters, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate legal documentation, contracts, and reports to ensure that all legal matters are properly recorded and accessible.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external legal partners to ensure the company’s interests are protected in all legal matters, particularly in contract disputes and potential litigation.

• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Master of Laws (LLM).
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in real estate law, with a strong background in contract review, drafting, and handling litigation matters. Experience in managing disputes and coordinating with external legal teams is a must.
• Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of real estate transactions, construction contracts, and dispute resolution processes. Experience in dealing with contractor disputes and litigation will be highly beneficial
• Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
• Personal Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and negotiation skills with a focus on problem-solving are essential.
