Penetration Tester and Vulnerability Assessment Analyst
Overview
Penetration Tester and Vulnerability Assessment Analyst is responsible for performing the security assessment to Bank’s IT Infrastructure and Application including providing the solution for fixing or mitigating control to reduce the risk. Regularly operate and maintenance the vulnerability management and penetration testing process to assurance and ensure the effectiveness of the security control and reduce the opportunity to occur the vulnerability
Key responsibilities and activities
- Perform security assessment by penetration testing, vulnerability scan, or another method to IT infrastructure, application, and related IT system
- Conduct the risk-based analysis of issues or vulnerability from the security assessment.
- Provide the solution and consulting to fixing or mitigating the finding of vulnerability.
- Coordinate and facilitate with the related party to establish the security assessment e.g. selected vendors, application team, and system administrator
- Operate, maintenance and continually improving Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing Process
- Consolidate and Tracking the vulnerabilities and threat
- Processing, analyzing, and provide a summary report of the vulnerabilities
- Proactively researching and testing new technic or vulnerability to supporting the security assessment and sharing knowledge together with a team member
- Develop and update the security requirements related to penetration testing
Skill/qualification
- Bachelor’s in computer science / Engineering or other related fields (or equivalent experience)
- Preferred certifications (non-exhaustive): Pentest+, CEH, OSCP, or other related
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of security and a strong technical foundation
- Strong understanding of system, network, and security fundamentals
- In-depth knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, security hardening
- Aptitude to demonstrate advanced or complicated security problem or vulnerability
- Strong ethical, correct and keep confidential
- Problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Tenacity & Curiosity
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems
