We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our client team and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our electrical production equipment and Controls & Drives systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for minimizing machine downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and improving overall efficiency in our production area.
Key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and continuously improving electrical production equipment, spare parts, and Controls & Drives systems to minimize downtime and scrap levels.
• Supporting the startup of new equipment and ensuring adherence to electrical production equipment C&D standards.
• Collaborating with suppliers to maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment effectively.
• Issuing procedures and work instructions, overseeing their implementation, and maintaining controls.
• Diagnosing electrical problems, performing repairs, and restarting production machinery in case of breakdowns.
• Managing C&D equipment spare parts in coordination with the Purchasing Department.
• Implementing and enhancing the local Maintenance strategy, including SAP PM integration and interface with other departments.
• Identifying, analyzing, and implementing potential Controls & Drives improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation of C&D systems in the area, including electrical plants and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensuring the protection, creation of backups, and maintenance of control system software such as IPC's, PLC's, Drives, and Communication Devices.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in English communication with experience in international contacts through projects, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Controls and Drives within the manufacturing industry; experience in the tires business is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Beckhoff PLC, Siemens PLC programming (Step7, Tia Portal), Win CC, and SAP.
• Experience participating in machine improvement, refurbishment, upgrade, or installation projects.
• Familiarity with Maintenance, Preventive & Predictive Maintenance practices.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings effectively.
