About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to join our client team in Rayong. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving their electrical production equipment and control systems, specifically focusing on Siemens PLC. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment, even if you don't have prior experience in the tire industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve electrical production equipment, spare parts, and Controls & Drives systems (focusing on Siemens PLC) to minimize downtime and costs.
- Support the startup of new equipment and ensure adherence to electrical standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement procedures and work instructions.
- Diagnose, repair, and restart production machinery during breakdowns.
- Manage spare parts for Controls & Drives equipment in coordination with the purchasing department.
- Implement and support the local maintenance strategy, including SAP PM.
- Identify and implement improvements to Controls & Drives systems for cost savings, downtime reduction, and scrap reduction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for electrical systems.
- Manage control system software backups and maintenance (IPCs, PLCs, Drives, Communication Devices).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience working with international contacts (projects, colleagues, suppliers).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Controls and Drives within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the tire industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming (Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC) and knowledge of Beckhoff PLC.
- Experience with machine improvement, refurbishment, upgrade, or installation projects.
- Experience in maintenance, preventive, and predictive maintenance.Strong English communication skills.
