Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
a. Develop and implement nutrition strategies that align with business goals, including performance, sustainability, budget constraints, market growth and customer satisfaction.
b. Ensure alignment of feed programs with the company’s business strategy, sustainability objectives, and global regulatory compliance (e.g., EU Feed Additive Regulations, FDA).
2. Team Management:
a. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior and senior nutritionists, ensuring that project timelines and goals are met.
b. Oversee professional development initiatives for team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
3. Project & Resource Management:
a. Lead the development of new products and improvements to existing formulations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
b. Manage resources, including raw materials, R&D budgets, and staffing, to optimize feed program outcomes.
c. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize raw material sourcing, manage costs, and improve feed performance.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
a. Work closely with R&D, marketing, procurement, and regulatory teams to ensure feed formulations meet product goals, market needs, and regulatory standards.
b. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in feed programs, sustainability initiatives, and ingredient sourcing.
5. Customer & Industry Engagement:
a. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, presenting feed programs and nutrition strategies.
b. Provide advanced customer support and education, including training materials and technical resources.
6. Compliance & Sustainability:
a. Oversee compliance with local, regional, and global regulations, ensuring that feed programs meet all safety, nutritional, and environmental standards.
b. Lead sustainability projects, focusing on reducing environmental impact through innovative feed formulations and raw material selection.

Requirements
o Master’s or PhD in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or related fields.
o 8-10+ years of experience in nutrition, feed formulation, or R&D, with leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional projects.
o Advanced knowledge of feed formulation, animal physiology, and nutritional science.
o Strong leadership and project management abilities and mentoring abilities.
o Ability to collaborate with global teams and manage cross-functional projects.
o Expertise in regulatory compliance, sustainability, and customer engagement.
o Proven ability to lead and execute product innovation and ingredient sourcing initiatives.
o Experience in budget management and cost analysis.
o Proficiency in data and statistical analysis.
• Project Management: Proficiency in managing large-scale projects using tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
• Advanced Feed Formulation: Deep understanding of feed formulation tools and ingredient impact on nutrition and performance.
• Budget Management: Ability to manage R&D budgets, optimize resource allocation, and track project costs.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in regional and international regulations affecting feed programs.
• Product Development: Experience in leading product development from conception to market, working closely with R&D and marketing teams.
• Leadership & Team Management: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams while driving accountability and achieving goals.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align nutrition strategies with broader business objectives.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for leading cross-functional discussions and conveying technical information to non-technical teams.
• Negotiation: Skilled in negotiations with suppliers, ensuring the best quality raw materials and managing costs effectively.
• Adaptability: Ability to pivot strategies and respond to changing market trends, regulations, or customer needs.
