Head of Trade Marketing (Based in Vientiane, Laos)
KHOUANCHAY TRADING IMPORT - EXPORT CO.,LTD.• Develop and Implement Trade Marketing Strategies:
o Create and execute comprehensive trade marketing plans aligned with the overall brand strategy.
o Develop annual trade marketing plans, including budgets and timelines.
o Identify key trade channels and target customer segments.
• Manage Trade Promotions and Incentives:
o Design and implement effective trade promotions, such as discounts, rebates and other relevant options.
o Negotiate deals with retailers and principals to secure optimal shelf space and visibility.
o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and make necessary adjustments.
• Build Strong Retailer and Principal Relationships:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and principals.
o Understand their business needs and challenges.
o Collaborate with retailers to develop joint marketing initiatives.
• Manage In-Store Marketing Activities:
o Oversee the development and execution of in-store marketing materials, such as point-of-sale displays, signage, and promotional materials.
o Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all retail channels.
• Analyze Market Trends and Consumer Insights:
o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
o Use insights to inform trade marketing strategies and tactics.
• Manage Budgets and Resources:
o Develop and manage trade marketing budgets.
o Monitor expenses and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Measure and Evaluate Performance:
o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, market share, and distributions.
o Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize future strategies.
• Develop and Train the trade marketing supervisor/Executive
• Additional work as assigned by the line Director
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in trade marketing or a related field within the FMCG industry.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw insights to inform decision-making.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate deals and build strong relationships with retailers and distributors.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas and persuade others.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems creatively and efficiently.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the FMCG market, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
