Position: Associate Marketing Officer
Key Responsibilities:
The Marketing Officer works closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager and the Senior Leadership Team to be responsible for the following key areas:
Chinese Language Copywriting & Cultural Expertise:
- Create compelling, engaging, and culturally relevant copy in Chinese for a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, websites, social media posts, and promotional emails;
- Adapt English-language content for Chinese-speaking audiences, ensuring consistency with brand messaging and cultural sensitivities;
- Collaborate closely with the content and design teams to produce high-quality, creative content that resonates with Chinese-speaking audiences;
- Provide Mandarin translation for both internal and external marketing materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance;
Offer guidance on Chinese cultural matters relevant to marketing efforts, ensuring campaigns resonate effectively with Chinese-speaking families and communities;
Event & Campaign Management:
- Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of all Admissions and Marketing events for prospective families, coordinating with suppliers, venue staff, and guests to ensure smooth delivery;
- Collaborate with teachers and internal staff to generate fresh marketing content and arrange promotional opportunities, such as photography and videography sessions, to effectively market the school;
Digital Marketing & Marketing Operations:
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and engagement across various platforms;
- Track and report on digital campaigns’ effectiveness, making suggestions to Marketing Manager to adapt campaigns as necessary;
- Support the Marketing Manager in overseeing the smooth daily operations of the marketing department, ensuring efficient workflows and timely implementation of all marketing initiatives;
Administrative Support & Additional Marketing Initiatives:
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including processing purchase requisitions and managing internal processes;
- Support the team in executing additional marketing initiatives that align with the school’s overall marketing strategy and goals;
- Coordinate with various departments and teams to ensure the successful delivery of school-wide marketing projects and events.
The Associate Marketing Officer reports directly to the Marketing and Communication Manager or the designated Line Manager assigned by The Principal, executing out the tasks or project according to the Line Manager.
Skills Criteria:
The candidate should demonstrate the following skills and experience as relevant to this role:
Essential:
● Highly proficient in the Mandarin and English language, both written and spoken;
● Experience in a professional marketing environment;
● Practical knowledge of digital platforms, social media and analytics tools, including campaign execution;
● Excellent planning and time management skills, with ability to prioritise urgent tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
● Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
● Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Google Workspace, including Google Drive, Google Forms and Google Analytics;
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Desirable:
● Photography, videography and video editing skills;
● Experience of working in a school environment and demonstrating understanding of inter-departmental working;
● Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
